    Mr. Travis warns Eckels
    Mr. Travis warns Eckels about the danger of messing around with the past from the future, in which if you change anything, a little single thing, if can affect anything drastically. He tells Eckels to NEVER step off of the Path, because if he steps onto the grass and ends up killing anything, everything would be out of proportion and would cause imbalance. The animals that he can shoot are marked with red paint because it means they already died and won't affect the future in any way.

    The T-Rex at first came in really fast and Eckels was scared to death he was going to die, but then the other men killed the T-Rex with their guns. Eckels, however, stepped OFF the path into the grass, not knowing that he did so. Another sound of thunder was heard.

    Eckels and Mr. Travis arrive at the correct time period along with 3 other men in the time machine. While still in the time machine, Eckels asks if a gun can kill a dinosar and Travis responds with "If you hit them right"

    He is also somewhat frightened at what will happen, but ends up going into the Time Machine, taking him back

    Eckels meets Mr. Travis, the Safari Guide in the Past. He is given the rules of listen to him otherwise penalties are to occur. He also sees a real Time Machine, which is unbelievable to him to be able to go back in time. He is also glad that Keith won the election and not Deutscher, because otherwise he would've run away.

    The men go back to the present in the time machine and discover something is wrong. Eckels then lifts up his shoe and sees a batterfly, very beautiful and dead, which changes the alphabet and the presidential election. One single butterfly. Eckels then falls to the floor and Travis, lifts his weapon, and then there was the sound of thunder.
