The Great Migration was the large-scale movement of hundreds of thousands of southern blacks to cities in the North. Before the war started, african americans began trying to escape the south, but it became a rapid influx Post-WWI. One of the causes for the migration was majority of african americans sought to escape the racial discrimination, which made it hard to make a living, they were receiving in the south. This influx causes major racial tensions in the North.

During the final phases of the war, the Russians withdrew from the battle by the decree of Lenins new government. With the assassination of Russias Czar Lenin created the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR) replacing the traditional monarchy with communist states.

The two African American units that were sent across seas fought bravely, however they recieved more thanks and reception from France over America. They were among the first Allied troops to fight through enemy lines and reach the Rhine River in Germany. After returning from war, they were rarely included in veteran parades or acknowledged for their actions.

all black Regiment who was sepparated from other american regiments. they found good standing amongst the french soldiers, as they were already used to fighting along side african soldiers. this division received The Croix de Guerre from the french government. theis regiment along side the 92nd regiment served the longest time of any american regiment in the trenches.

On October 29. now known as Black Tuesday, the bottom fell out of the market and the nation's confidence. Shareholders frantically tried to sell before prices plunged even lower. The number of shares dumped that day was a record 16.4 million. Additional millions f shares could not find buyers. People who had bought stocks on credit were stuck with huge debts as the prices plummetted, while others lost most of their savings.
