During middle school the dress code was more strict on the girls and we even had to miss class and sit in the office till the end of the day if our shorts were not arm length. Boys at my middle school were allowed to wear what ever they want even if we weren't allowed to wear hats, it was okay for them because they played a sport.
  • Race

    Race
My high school was diverse in some ways but most the Torrance community referred as South high as the "White school". I had friends that would commute to my high school from not so nice areas. At lunchtime groups were split up mostly by race for example, the white/asians would eat outside and the African Americans/Latinos ate inside the cafeteria.

At my high school a lot of the sports team money came from alumni and wealthy families. Most our resources were properly funded at my school like books, computer lab, library, lockers, etc.
