Leonard Kleinrock was the one who created internet and senty the first message through the web in an UCLA laboratory. He wanted to find an easier way to communicate through via internet so they came out with the idea of sending messages not only through land but through internet, it was easier and faster. -
YouTube is created
19 years later after the first message was sent, a group of students of standford came up with an idea of creating a website were we can watch videos. YouTube is a video-sharing website, created by three former PayPal employees in February 2005, on which users can upload, view and share videos. -

Hotmail service was founded by Sabeer Bhatia and Jack Smith, and was one of the first webmail services on the Internet along with Four11's RocketMail. They wanted to figure out a way of sending messages faster and easier because the old message website was slow and it was harder to sent one. -

Facebook created
Mark Zuckerberg created Facebook in 2004 at Harvard to have an online place for all his classmates to connect. To accomplish this, Zuckerberg hacked into the protected areas of Harvard's computer network and copied the houses' private dormitory ID images. -
Twitter created
It was created in March 2006 by Jack Dorsey and launched that July. The service rapidly gained worldwide popularity, with over 500 million active users as of 2012, generating over 340 million tweets daily and handling over 1.6 billion search queries per day. -
Tumblr is created
Tumblr was launched on April 27, 2007 by David Karp. Marco Arment served as the lead developer, though he left the company in 2010 to focus on Instapaper. Within two weeks of its launch, the service had gained 75,000 users. -
