    This has been an issue since before the 1960s but recently it has been become a topic debated and shown on social media. The hashtag 'black lives matter' circulates the internet today, this was on all social media's but specifically Twitter and Instagram.

    This started on October 15, 2017. An actress went public on twitter urging people to tell their stories of sexual assault. Since then, #metoo has been used 19 million times on Twitter sharing stories of sexual assault and urging changes to be made. Twitter was the primary medium used.

    Venezuelan Protests
    Thousands of Venezuelan's gathered together to try and get their president to step down. In the article by Fox News it states "Social media played the most prominent role in drawing such large crowds, given that the government controls almost all of the traditional broadcast and print media." The social medium used is primarily Twitter and Facebook. Tension is still happening now in Venezuela. The tactics that have gathered people to follow, is to show what is happening within the country.

    Tension is happening between the Serbian government and the people living within Serbia. Some attribute the tension to be due to the social media focusing on what is happening within the country. Social media is showing what is happening with the catching #stopthebloodyshirts. Political violence is happening. It is spread through all channels of social media, specifically Twitter and Facebook.

    Conflict is happening right now between Hong Kong and mainland China. The Chinese government is now censoring what is happening to make it look like the people from foreign countries are the ones being especially evil, giving people a false sense of what is actually happening. This is happening through all Chinese-permitted social media channels.
