This slave code stated that the masters could do whatever they wanted to their slaves(anything) -
virginia code of 1705
This code said that slaves were law as real estate ,not human beings.The code also stated that slaves would be used as a collateral for borrowing money and as assets in the payment of debts.this code was used as a model for other colonies. -
North Carolina Slave code of 1715-1741
North Carolina slave code of 1715 required the slaves to carry a ticket whenever they left the plantation.In 1741 another law was passed that stated that slaves couldnt carry a gun or raise livestock. -

Immigration
Immigration rose very much and population increased. Many slaves escaped to free states in hopes of not being found and free of labor work. Some immigrants were captured by there owners and not let free again. Some jumped out into the seas from the ships and eventually died. Now immigratin is being handled strictly with deportation. -

The Missouri Compromise kept balance by creating a free state as well as a slave state. That free state was Maine. -

Nta Turener lead a rebellion and had other people at his side. They killed more than 55 people before they had stopped. They then were killed because of these murders. Some people blamed it on the education that they had and a law was passed to stop giving education to any black people. -
Georgia slave code of 1848
This law punished slaves if they were taught how to read or write.They punished them by whipping or fine. -
Compromise of 1850
California became a free state and the fugitive slave act was apart with it.it created two new territories which are Utah and New Mexico territory and allowed to decide if slavery was allowed. -

Kansas wanted to become a stateand congress said that they didn't want to deal with this issue, so they didn't want to deal with slaves. Then congress let the people decide. They had political sovereighty and some people went to other states to vote. There The cause of this was called Bleeding Kansas. -

Dred Scott was a slave taken to live ina state where slavery was illegal. He had sued his owner, but he didn't win win because the Supreme Court ruled that black people were not citizens.
