The Thirteenth Amendment
"Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction." This is pretty self explanatory.. This was to ban slavery forever in the United States of America. -

This act was to give opportunities. This drove the South into 5 military. When they split the South into 5 groups they also took military leaders and stationed them in the 5 states. -
