This is also a social and political event because the slaves becoming regular people with status was a big change for the American's where racism was the normality and what was expected and politically it impacted the United States because there were politicians opposed to ending the slave trade which caused a lot of problems.

    Uncle Tom's Cabin was a book written by Harriet Beecher Stow that was against slavery. This was a huge social impacting event because it helped the slaves in America change their attitude and decide to keep fighting and working to be fee. It made a huge impact on the slaves by raising their hopes and pride and it also impacted the slave owners because it did enrage them.

    The Kansas Nebraska Act was a big social event. It caused the Missouri compromise to fall and this created 2 new territories that were left to be decided whether they were pro or anti slavery by whatever was popular among the people. This caused a lot of fights to break out because the people and activists wanted the land to be after whatever they believed in and the two opposing sides couldn't agree.

This was a time when the pro-slavery and anti-slavery activist fought in a bloody and violent way because the people couldn't agree on the problem of slavery. This was also a political event because all the bloodshed ended up shaping a lot of the political parties and their views further and it was a huge set up for the Civil war that would happen later.

This was political because it showed the tensions going on right up in the government and Charles Sumner would go on to take a huge role in taking down slavery once and for all in the Civil War.

    The Dred Scott Decision was social, economic, and political. This was social because it angered many northern American's because they were against slavery and this decision said that the Scott family and other African Americans were not free simply because they owned land and things. This was economic because it also made Northern farmers fear about finding job because of the slavery increase. Finally it was political because it showed how the government was helping slavery in this situation.
