In the start of the 70's people started to make contests for any skater to join. You could win alot of stuff/money or just do it for fun. -
Clothing
During the start of the 80's people started to care alot about what they were wearing. It could for an example be wearing a cap and long pants. -
Diamondz!
In the mid 90's the very first public skatepark open. It's called Diamondz! -
Skateboarding today
Since the start of 2000, alot of money has been put into skateboarding. Alot more skateboards has been made, better skateboards, and even skateboarding schools. There are even someone talking about making skateboarding an Olympic sport!
