    Sir Francis Bacon was an English philosopher and scientist. Bacon is famous for the Baconian method. The Baconian method challenged Aristotelian philosophy. and shifted the focus of science to experimentation. He was well known for many writings on science, law, philosophy, religion, and he even wrote fiction. Some historians even it claiming that Sir Francis Bacon was really Shakespeare. He also served as Lord Chancellor of England from the years of 1618 to 1621.

Even though he was a good student he suffered ill health.

    Legal Career Takes Off
    In 1576 bacon was admitted as a senior Governor at Gray's Inn. Gray's Inn was one of the Inns of court in England that served legal education. During this time he moved up the ranks in the legal hierarchy making it all the way to Queens Council. He was also not satisfied with his political and philosophical Ambitions. This is most likely the reason why tried other things to fill his need in philosophy.

    Reforming Language

    During this time bacon wanted to reform the English language. English at the time was made up of many dialects. He understood that to make England a great country they had to change the way they wrote and spoke. This by and large was the lesson learned while he was in France. So his Society invented words. He also paid the scriptorium to translate writings from other languages to English this gave the common people and the upper class the opportunity to learn culture and language.

    From 1576 to 1579 Sir Francis Bacon was in France as a member of the English ambassador's Suite. He was recalled because of his father's death. His family had very little money and Bacon remained financially distraught until his death. While in France Francis Bacon learned a lot about the French language, and how the French used poetry to expand the French language.

It was a work of art and it seemed that all his pent up academia was vomited on paper at once. This is what made Bacon famous and controversial. This ground breaking work also has the undertones of Shakespeare's writings. Could he be Shakespeare?

    For his excellent service to the Royal Court bacon was knighted in 1603 by king James I. He was one of 300 new knights in his class. From that time forward he would be refered to as sir. As a side point king James was the king that produced the King James Bible. Bacon was most likely involved in this translation.

    Sir Francis Bacon published the work "Novum organum". This ground braking way of thinking about science was not even finished. Bacon promised that he would revise it but was left in finished. What could have happened if it would have been finished, we will never now. This changed the way we look at science. It also changed the way that we came up with theories and proved them. Bacon was a great man with accomplishments. Bacon changed our lives forever, this can not be denied.
