February 12, 1809 Charles Darwin Was the Fifth Child out of the Six in his Family. -
A Naturalist
He was born in a very religious family , His Father wanted him to become a Doctor or a Priest. Instead Charles Decided that he wanted to study exotic animal’s and their species. Charles Darwin went on board HMS Beagle in Devonport. For Five years he would travel as a Naturalist. -
A Theory - descent with modification
As he Travels in the Galapagos He came up with a theory on Evolution by natural selection and questioned that what the species isn’t as perfect as everyone thought.
He came to the conclusion that All life on Earth is connected and related to each other, modifications of populations by natural selection, where some traits were favored in and environment over others.
Or in other words Survival of the fittest as in the ability to survive and reproduce. -
His beliefs vs His theory
Darwin's book "On the Origin of Species" in 1859 took him over 20 years to decide to publish because his discovery did not match his beliefs directly to Christianity.
He explained every species was evolving in nature where he explains that species survive by eliminating the inferior. -
