    Biles missed the start of the season due to a shoulder injury, sitting out the 2014 American Cup. Her re-entry to competitions was at the 2014 "Secret. U.S. Classic" 2014 in Chicago, where she won the overall individual competition by a wide margin over second place, won the vault, balance beam and floor finals.
