Simone Biles began her career at the American Classic competition in Huntsville, Texas, in 2011. -
AGAIN AMERICAN CLASSICCOMPETITION
Her first meet of 2012 was again at the American Classic competition, but this time, she finished first in individual all-around and vault, second on floor, third on balance beam and fourth on uneven bars. -
SENIOR DEBUT
Biles' debut as a senior gymnast was in March 2013, at the American Cup. During the individual all-around final, Biles was leading the competition for two rounds, however, her fall on the balance beam prevented her from winning, finishing second behind compatriot Katelyn Ohashi. -
2014
Biles missed the start of the season due to a shoulder injury, sitting out the 2014 American Cup. Her re-entry to competitions was at the 2014 "Secret. U.S. Classic" 2014 in Chicago, where she won the overall individual competition by a wide margin over second place, won the vault, balance beam and floor finals. -
HIGH SCHOOL
She graduated from high school in 2015, studying from home in order to have more time to train. -
PACIFIC RIM GYMNASTICS CHAMPIONSHIPS
Biles began the season by participating in the Pacific Rim Gymnastics Championships in April, where she won the gold medal in the individual all-around, team all-around, floor exercise, balance beam and vault. -
BOYFRIEND
In August 2017, the gym confirmed that he had a personal Instagram account that was romantically involved with established gymnast Stacey Ervin, who was part of the national team in 2013, with whom he participated in the Texas gym.49 -
SEXUALLY ABUSED
In January 2018, she claimed to have been sexually abused by former USA Gymnastics team doctor Larry Nassar, along with about 100 other gymnasts. -
2019
At the 2019 Artistic Gymnastics World Championships, held in Stuttgart, she qualified for all the finals to be contested, the third time she had achieved such an accomplishment. -
2021
A month later, in her first competition since 2019, she became the first woman in history to perform a double Yurchenko carpentry in the vaulting horse jump.40 -
GAP
On April 23, 2021, Biles severed her tie with Nike, which had bound her since late 2015, to join the American sports brand Athleta, linked to Gap. -
TOKYO GAMES
Biles was out of competition for two years after the Tokyo Games due to twisties, a psychological problem that prevented her from controlling her body in aerial maneuvers. She returned to competition in August 2023 with a victory at the US Classic in Chicago as the start of her preparation for the 2024 Paris Olympics.43 -
