  • Cell Phones

    Cell Phones
My parents got their first cell phone while I was in elementary school, around 2003. I was amazed at it. I thought it was so cool to have a phone that they could take any where with them. Their first cell phone was a Nokia. It had an antenna. I don't think it could be used for anything except making phone calls.
  • Bluetooth

2004 is when bluetooth was becoming widely used. I don't remember using it that early in my life. I'd say I was in later middle school (like 2008) before I remember using it. It was nice to be able to bluetooth headphones to my mp3 player or CD player. Now days, I use it to bluetooth my cell phone to my car.
  • Flat Screen TVs

    Flat Screen TVs
I remember as a child, TVs were a huge, boxy thing. As I got a little older, flat screen TVs were becoming the new hot thing. I was middle school age when we got our first one. It was nice that it didn't take up as much room on the shelf/table that it sat on.
  • WiFi

WiFi became widely available for cell phones and other devices in 2007. I would have been in 6th or 7th grade at this time, and this is when I really remember starting to use computers more often in school. However, I honestly don't remember using WiFi until I was in high school.
  • iPad

    iPad
iPads were invented in 2010, which was my freshmen year of high school. I got my first one two years later. At the time, it was so cool to have a "computer" that was touch screen.
