    Linus Torvalds created Linux in 1991. Linux is an operating system like Windows. I was so innovative because the operating system is open-ended allowing anybody to manipulate it to their liking.

    The text message was created by Neil Papworth in 1992. A PC sent the message because phones had no way to type messages at the time. Even so, this changed immensely how people would be able to communicate—creating the ability for faster, more accessible communication.

    Nokia 1011
    This was the first portable phone compatible with SMS (text messages) manufactured by Nokia Germany in 1994. This was the first phone that people were able to text on, as well as it was the first mass-produced phone. It was also lighter and more portable than previous phones.

    The DVD (Digital Video Disc) was developed in 1995 by Sony, Panasonic, Philips, and Toshiba and later released in 1996. This moved society away from VHS tapes which were generally bulkier than DVDs. The cohesion in creating DVDs allowed one player to be used for all the company's products which brought greater convenience.

    Google, a type of search engine, was created in 1998 by Larry Page and Sergey Brin. This search engine was bigger than anyone previously introduced. This allowed faster and more accessible answers from the internet.
