First Slave brought to America
About 20 slaves arrived in Virginia. Slave labor existed as a legal action for more than a century. They really had a struggle to gain their freedom. -

This act was used to create extra money for Great Britain after the war. Great Britain made a law that made all exports be taxed and stamped by them. -
Boston Massacre
In American history, this was the first time many people were killed at the same time and everyone freaked out. This made Americans trust the British soldiers even less. -
Boston Tea Party
Samuel Adams did not like the fact that a bill was going to save the East India company by lowering tea taxes. Adams and 60 other members dumped the tea in the Boston Harbor which valued about $18,000. This helped the Americans to revolt. -

The War of 1812 there was problems with the U.S. and Great Britain. Great Britain tried to enter the capital and burn down the white house. Its important because without this war, we would not respect our country by saying the Star- Spangled Banner. -

This crisis happened while Andrew Jackson was President and it stated that the federal Tarriff of 1828 and 1832 were unconstitutional and this affected the boundries of South Carolina. -

Kansas/Nebraska Act
The Kansas/Nebraska Act made territorial boundries of Kansas and Nebraska and opened the land up to legal settlement. This also let the territories decide by popular vote if they should free the slaves or not. -
