I was Born
On this day I was born and it is a particularly significant because after this day I am given the chance to grow, make my own decisions and learn continuously throughout the rest of my years, eventually reaching other significant points in my life. -
Moving Back to Canada
After I was born my parents moved me and my older brother to Arcadia, California due to my mothers’ job, but on the 8th of August we moved back to Canada and into a house in New Market. -
Starting School
In the autumn of this year, I started kindergarten, a significant day as it was the beginning of my educational adventure in my elementary school. This was a happy day because I always saw my older brother of four years always leaving and coming home from his school, I also saw him doing homework and for whatever reason, really wanted to do homework of my own. So on this day I was really excited to start school but also nervous because I am shy around new people. -
Recess Adventure Gone Wrong
On this day, I broke my arm during recess on the play ground. I was adventurous, so I tried to bungee jump off the jungle gym by connecting the straps of my overalls to the bars, with my shoelaces. Of course this didn’t work out very well and I broke my arm falling off the monkey bars. This is significant because it was the first time I’d broken something but it was also because I learned a good lesson that you have to be cautious amd to never try what I see on TV, especially bungee jumping. -
The Day I Had My Spleen Removed
During this day in the summer, my dad and I got into a car accident with another driver who ran a red light during a thunder storm. This is a significant day not only because of the car accident but also because I was badly hurt, since the car got hit on the passenger side where I was sitting and needed to have surgery where doctors had to fix a few things and I had a near death-experience because I evidently lost a lot of blood. This was also the day I had my spleen removed from the surgery. -
The Day I Finally Get the Bigger Room
This day is significant because it was the day that my older brother left to attend university in the United States and in doing so left me to be an only child with no big brother hassling or taking and breaking my belongings. Since he moved out and took many of his things with him, this was also the day that I got to switch rooms with his and is significant because I finally got the bigger room and because I spend so much time in my room when I am at home it was time that I got enough space -
First Day of High School
This was the day that I started high school. This was a significant day because I had moved houses the summer before and so I had to go to a different high school that most of my friends from my elementary school were going to. I was a little nervous about this day because I like the idea of meeting new people but also don’t want to know no one in a school most people know each other. Luckily two of my best friends also came to Richmond Green with me and I met a lot of new people. -
My First Concert
This was the day that I went to go see my first concert. This day is significant because music is a big part of my life and I went the first band that I went to go see is now also one of my favourite bands. I also went to this concert with my older brother and since we don’t do much together it was also a significant day because I got to hang out with him for a day. -
A Letter in the Mail
On this day I received a letter in the mail from the Art Gallery of Ontario saying that the drawings and sketches I submitted back at the beginning of June were chosen to be put into a gallery show in the summer. Not only is this day important and significant to me because my drawings were chosen but also because it was the first time I had let anyone see my drawings. -
A Bad Day
This was the day that my grandpa passed away from cancer. This is a significant day for me because I lost someone who I was very close with, since he was one of the people who raised me and taught me many things about life. The significance of this day also drove me to the thought of helping other people and families who deal with cancer or lose someone because of a disease. This day made me want to participate in various projects and organizations that deal with cancer.
