  • Killed my first deer.

When I was 7 years old I shot my first deer. It taught me to really appreciate the sport of hunting. It made me love the feeling of being able to sit in the woods for hours and be able to kill a wild animal. It made me feel appreciative and also taught me to be patient.
  • Mother got out of prison

my mother got locked when I was about 3 years old. She later got out when I was 9. My mother missed a big part of my childhood and I thought I hated her for that, until she got out. It turns out my mom is an amazing woman. I still read her letters to me and my brothers today.
  • Caught my personal best bass

When I was 11 my dad took me on a fishing trip on the river in our boat. I didn't catch anything for about 3 hours and I was ready to go home. My dad said to keep casting and so I did. I ended up catching a 6.3 lbs bass. It taught me to be patient and good things always come with time.
  • Grandmother died

When I was 12 years old my grandmother had a stroke. She was later revived in the hospital and had permenant brain damage from falling. She lost the ability to speak and just kept having to go to the emergency room. She passed from a stroke in October of 2020. This changed me a lot as a person. It taught me that everything doesn't last forever and you need to enjoy your moments with your loved ones.
  • Started wrestling

Freshman year my friend Gibby convinced me to join the wrestling team. I didn't think I would like it at first because of the conditioning but I knew if I started the year I have to finish it. I am going on to my junior year and am very excited for it. Wrestling stood out to me because when you win its not the whole team winning, Its yourself. I feel way more accomplished when I win matches than anything else.
