First Public School- Boston Latin School
The opening of the first public school also opened the countries eyes to the possibility of a publicly funded school. Once this school opened more followed in Massachusetts, and then later more followed in the United States. Boston Latin School is the first stepping stone to public education. Title IX
Title IX prohibits sex discrimination in education. Allowing what we know today as the ability to be safe at school from sexual discrimination.
