    A result of the joint effort of Sony and Philips, the CD offered a greatly increased storage space then what was available before, allowing for the sharing and transfer of much more and bigger files, revolutionizing the computer world in many ways.

    Created by a team at Bell Labs led by Martin Cooper, the Motorola DynaTAC, although expensive, was one of the first widely used cell phones. Due to it being highly sought after, and quickly out of stock, it created the demand for cell phones and began the process of connecting the world.

    The Apple Microsoft was the first computer release from Apple, headed by Steve Jobs. The Apple Macintosh was a unique release as it was one of the first commercially available computers that wasn't text based interface-wise. The release of this computer, and later company products created an alternative, or counter culture in the computer world, offering another option for those who didn't like the styles of Microsoft.
