Lexington and Concord
Parliament rejected Congress’s wishes and sent British troops to Lexington and Concord to seize stores of gunpowder and arrest ringleaders Samuel Adams and John Hancock. In Lexington, the British defeated the colonists killing 8 Americans and wounding several more. Britain then pushed on to Concord being ambushed due to Paul Revere’s word and was ambushed and suffered heavy losses. Britain now had a war on its hands. -
Bunker Hill
The battle is named after Bunker Hill in Charlestown, Massachusetts, even though most of the combat took place on the adjacent hill known as Breed’s Hill. During this battle, even though the Colonist didn’t win, it was a huge victory for them. -

The battle of Yorktown took place in Chesapeake Bay were General Cornwallis of the British, was waiting for seaborne supplies and reinforcement. But, the Colonial army with the French, cornered General Cornwallis and forced him to surrender, bringing a colonial victory in the American Revolutionary War.
