    Advancement in Maritime Technology
    Technology, such as new sails, rudders, and compasses, have been developed and invented. As a result, there was rapid growth and more free trade between nations. This helped spread new technologies such as gunoweder across oceans.

    Maritime empires were more independent and auto-sufficient relative to other land empires. Besides these empires (and the consequence of their establishment), other large land empires existed (most importantly the Muslim Mogul and Ottoman empires).The Dutch managed to establish roads everywhere. There was also a new distribution of commodities everywhere. Europeans eventually replaced American social constructs and walls. Spanish pushed foreign immigrants to study their history and language.

    There were political conflicts in France. The urban uprising in Russia and the peasants rebelled. Hindu organizations were battling Mughals by undermining the kingdom. The Jews had been persecuted and had fled to the Ottomans. Tensions prevailed with the three Islamic powers, and the last nobles in Europe were strong, but the kinsmen wanted them out of control.

    Columbian Trade has introduced drugs, medicine, traditions and many other items from the old world. Modern livestock improved labour efficiency. The Africans carried the slaves, the maize and the okra. Cash crops became common, and the slave trade created diaspora.

    Peter the Great

    Peter the Great is commonly credited with taking Russia into the new period. During his time as Czar, from 1682 until his death in 1725, he carried out a number of reforms, including a revision of the Russian calendar and alphabet and a decline of the sovereignty of the Orthodox Church. Peter the Great made substantial improvements to the growth of Russia and increasing the strength of the kingdom. He is also well known for his attempts to transform Russia away from its Asian cultural links.
