Case Study Research.
I will look at 3 case studies that are related to my choosen theme for my short film. I will analyse these short films according to catergories that include - Camera, Sound, Editing and Mise- En- scene. -
Treatment.
I will write a rough plan of what i intend to do in my short film, including what the genre will be, a short summaay of my film including the theme and number of characters, what professional films inspired me and other details regarding my short film. -
Short film - Pitch.
Here i will do a pitch to an audience about my short film where the auidence will give feedback on my idea for my short film regarding what they like and dislike and how i could improve this idea. -
Additional changes to blog
i will over look my blog and make any additional changes needed, from the feeback i recieved from the audience pitch. -
Pre- Production.
Once my previous work has been finalized i will begin to draw up my storyboard for my short film, which will be a shot by shot guide of my film. This will also include the locations of the film, camera shots and postions and angles as well as lighting and timings. As well as completing all the correct forms (release forms for locations and actors) and assigning production roles to each member of my group. -
Pre - Production (props)
by this date we will ensure that my group know what props will be used (if any), Make up, to what extent and in which scene it will be included. -
Shooting our Short Film.
We will allow ourselves to have 3 weeks to complete our short film (video wise) and will have regular meetings and discuss what shots work and those than do not, therefore making sure we have time to re shot if we are not happy. -
Editing our short film.
All editing for our short film must be completed by the 6th of december. Throughout i will blog the changes and the additions i have made to this short film. As well as including a tape log and an edit decision list. -
Research and Planning the film poster and magazine review page.
Will research 3 examples of current film posters that are of professional films that are a similar genre to the short film i have produced. I will take notes of the locations used, the angles of the images and the use of the lighting as well as other details that include text and photographic effects such as photoshopping the images. -
Research and planning the film poster and magazine review page.
i will produce mock film posters and film review, which will include: straplines, headlines, coverlines, captions, pull quotes and professional shot images. Once this is completed i will pitch my print ideas to the class and will record all feedback i recieve on to my blog where i will make any changes that have been suggested to improve upon. -
Producing film poster and magazine review
We will plan and book a photoshoot when required, as well as producing a photography call sheet, which will help to keep our shoot organised and on time. -
Post- Production Focus Groups
Here i will Screen my short film to an audience who will give feedback on the film, including what worked well and what didnt through audience feedback -

These pieces of work will be created using both photoshop and InDesgin, during the production of these two pieces of work i will regulary blog the progress of the work as well as any changes that are made. -
Evaluation
As a group we will decide which way we will be approaching this evalution whether individual or as a group answering the 4 questions listed. Which will include short clips and still from our short film while answering questions. -
Editing the Evaluation
By this time we will have needed to edit our evaluation whether it is a directors commentary or an individual creative evaulation.
