Rise of the Samurai

Attempted Mongol invasion
The Mongols were led by Kublai Khan and japan was the only country in the east that wasn’t Mongol ruled. Nearly 900 vessels holding more than 40,000 soldiers were sent. A severe storm hit japan that killed over 13,000 Mongol Troops and the remaining soldiers retreated back to Korea. It was an unsuccessful invasion. -
