Muromachi Period
Ashikaga clan rule as shoguns. The capital moved to the Muromachi district of Kyoto. -

Final years of Medieval Period. The 'Warring States' and Medieval periods ended when three unifiers united Japan by Military government. -

Tokugawa (Edo) Period
Japan is united under the Tokugawa clan. Society fell under 4 categories, samurai, farmers, craftsmen and merchants. Edo, now known as Tokyo, was the new capital of Japan.
