Spanish Exploration of the New World
Christopher Colombus first began with a route of sailing to Asia. Then Spain launched many voyages of exploration to the new world. The Spanish seeked land of the New World. As they reached land a serious effect happened to the Native Americans. -

Colonization of the Spanish with the Native Americans
With the diseases the Spanish brought over from Europe, many Native Americans died. Native Americans didn't just die from the diseases that were brought over, they died from harsh conditions while being laborers. As Natives died off, the Europeans replaced them with African slaves. -
Common Sense
Thomas Paine wrote the "Common Sense" and printed in Philadelphia on the following date also was reprinted throughout the colonies. Common Sense powerfully argued in favor of independence. -
Start of American Independence
The Continental Congress adopted the Decleration of Independece. This declared the independence of the colonies. this freed the colonies from the British. -

This process was the biggining of the onslaught of many new technologies, which helped to form the new industrial age. This helped buisnesses to profit and grow. -

The Morse Code, Telephone, and the Marconi Radio were invented by three inventors, Samuel Morse, Alexander Graham Bell, Guglielimo Marconi. These helped comunication spread throughout the buisness world. -
The Lincoln-Douglas Debate
Lincoln was fully against the south as they were all for slavery. Douglas was against the north because the north was fully against slavery where as Douglas and the south were fully for slavery. At the end the north won the debate along with Lincoln. -
The Emancipation Proclamation
Lincoln devised a plan for Reconstruction during the Civil War. This was a period of rebulding the nation and readmitting Southern states to the nation. This helped form guaranteed civil rights to African Ameriacans. -
The Gettysburg Address
In this speech from Lincoln, he adressed that this nation was once full of Liberty, and that it was dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal. He mentioned how our nation was about Liberty but now we're engaged in civil war and testing wheter that nation or any nation so concieved and so dedicated, can long endure. -
Freeing of Slaves
Thaddeus Stevens a Radical Republican proposed that each freed slave who is a male adult or head of a family would recieve forty acres of land and a hundred dollars to build a house on the land. -
Chicago Fire
The Chicago Fire caused 200 million dollars in costs of damages. This put a big gap in the bad economics for the people. It also left people out on the streets with no water, food, shelter, or personal belongings. -
Chinese Exclusion Act
This act banned the entry of Chinese except the students, teachers, merchants, and tourist, also the Chinese governement officials. -
Gentlemens Agreement
Japans governement agreed to limit immigration of unskilled workers to the United States in exchange for the repeal of the San Francisico segregration order.
