    born in 1886, she grew up in Slamannan Scotland; she was small and slim, light brown eyes and thick brown hair. Religious close family, everyone felt fondly of Polly "she was bright and cheery and brave."

    When Polly was eighteen, she went to work for Grossart Drapers in Carluke. John Wilson was already hired as a draper. Polly admired how slim and handsome John was. John gravitated towards Polly because of her sunny disposition. A year after they met they began to court and fell in love.

    John leaves for Canada to get away from the scandal in Scotland of him stealing money from his brother-in-law. He wants to leave until the community has forgotten about it. He says that he will only be gone for about one year

    Britain declared war with Germany. Canada was looking for recruits to train to fight in the war. John Wilson tried enlisting and was denied because of his lungs. His lungs weren’t healthy enough to withstand being through the training and war.

    John Wilson gets tuberculosis and is sent home from work. Jessie takes care of him while he is sick, and risked her own health the take care of him.

    Polly ended her train trip in the Regina train station. She was hoping that Jack would be here to meet her. She knew that he wouldn’t but it was still a hope. She then finds out that he is in Prince Albert instead of Regina. He tells he to go to Saskatoon, he will meet her there. He ends up taking her back to Regina.

    John went to get the marriage license so that he and Jessie could be married. He went to get it right after he had burned the car that he murdered Polly in.

    John is driving Polly in Jessie’s car. John has a gun and shovel in the backseat. It’s getting late so he changes his plans and decides that they are going to Blaine Lake instead, so that Polly can explain to Jessie that Polly and John are married and that she should back off. They go on a rural road and John stops to shoot some geese. Then he points the gun at Polly's head, and shoots the top of her head off. Then buries her body in a hole he dug under the culvert

    John burns the car that he shot Polly in. He says the trunk started on fire and he lost control of the car. An excuse for them not to realize what he did.
