    As the British begin to push forward into New France, they begin searching for land for New England settlers. Prime real estate for this is found in the Acadian lands of New France. The Acadians are forced off their land at bayonet point and loaded off to British colonies, far away from home. This act shifted the tone of the war from a political war to a people's war. As now the French and the English had a personal stake in the war. It had come to threaten their livelihoods.

  • Wolfe Captures Louisbourg

    The fortress of Louisbourg was a crucial part of New France as it protected the main artery of the new country, the Saint Lawrence. created safe passage in and out of the Gulf of Saint Lawrence by protecting French ships and destroying any threat that came near its guns. However morale there was constantly low, and it was surprisingly easy for General Wolfe to take the fort with a few galleons at back. In fact, the British took it without the french firing a single shot.
