Sergio "Kun" Agüero

    Sergio Leonel Agüero del Castillo, was born on June 2, 1988 in Quilmes, Buenos Aires.

  • The beginning

    Sergio had his beginnings on the soccer field when he was only 5 years old, when his main fun was kicking the ball. He played in the dirt fields of his city and even with higher categories until he entered the “Loma Alegre” children's soccer school.

  • First recognition

    In 1998, at the age of 9, he first appeared on the cover of a sports newspaper when he won the final of a local tournament, from there he began to be known in the world of football.

  • First championship

    At the age of 13, he won his first championship with Independiente's ninth junior division. Being the best in the division and the category, Sergio made the difference and the "Independiente" knew that he was destined to be a professional footballer, so he decided to include him in the first team.

  • Debut

    At just 15 years old and wearing jersey number 34, Agüero made history when he debuted as the youngest player in the Argentine First Division.

  • FIFA U-20 World Cup

    Two years later, Sergio was called up with the Argentine National Team to play in the FIFA U-20 World Cup. Assisted by Leo Messi, Kun Agüero, he scored the goal that led them to win the final of the championship and also be “Golden Boot”.

  • "Atletico de Madrid"

    "Atletico de Madrid"
    In 2006 and after his great performance in "Independiente", Agüero was transferred to "Atlético de Madrid". The Argentine played as a "rojiblanco" forward in 230 games and scored 100 goals. In addition, together with Diego Forlán, Agüero attended 46 times, making his team win the Europa League in the 09/10 season, as well as the UEFA Super Cup the following season.

  • Gold medal

    While playing in Spain, Kun Agüero was summoned by the Argentine National Team to participate in the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. During the semifinal against Brazil, Sergio scored 2 goals that gave them a winning result of 3 to 0 and the pass to the final of the tournament. They took Olympic gold by beating Nigeria 1-0, defending the title won in 2004.

    In 2011, Kun Agüero was transferred to Manchester City and with it came a record that to date has added 13 cups. Together with Sergio, Manchester has been 4 times champion of the English League (Premier League) and 5 times winner of the League Cup of England.
