EVENT: General Robert Lee surrenders to general Ulysses S. Grant at the Appomattox court house in Virginia. FACT CHECK: In the movie, this is shown as a short meeting but it was actually a longer process.
CONNECTION:If general Lee didn't surrender, there could still be some tension between the states who fought in the war

The Lost Battalion

FACT CHECK: The location of the real battalion was a super dense and dark forest that was very messy.
CONNECTION: A lot more people in the military survive wars now than they did back in the early 1900s and before then.

FACT CHECK: These camps were called Hoovervilles and usually low quality.
CONNECTION: Immigrants are forced to stay at border camps with little food and water.

RATING:⭐ ⭐ because their was not really anything interesting about the movie.

FACT CHECK: MLK and the others arrested with him were treated harshly while in jail.
CONNECTION: People these days are wrongly jailed and treated like animals while in confinement.

FACT CHECK: The escape plans weren’t created by Dengler, they already existed before he got to the camp.

FACT CHECK: Back in the 60’s, the cost to own a Shrimping boat was between $20,000 and $27,000. Forrest Gump had just enough money for a decent boat.
CONNECTION: Shrimping boats these days cost between $42,000 and $600,000
