Debut
Selena firs debuted in her father's restaurant Papa Gayos. She performed with her siblings. -

Close to the age of ten, Selena became the lead singer in her family band. Her brother Abraham played bass while her sister Suzette played on the drums. Their band, Selena Y Los Dinos played at weddings and local clubs in Texas.

Best Female Vocalist of the Year and Performer of the Year

Meeting Chris
In this year, Selena met the love of her life. He is her lead guitarist. She later married Chris Perez despite her fathers disapproval. -
Ven Conmigo

Selena married her lead guitarist Chris Perez in April of 1992. As a result, she took time off from her tour. -
Grammy Award

Selena was also a talented fashion desiner. Selena Etc. was based in South Texas and followed Selena's success. -
Death
On March 31, 1995 Selena died in Corpus Christi, Texas. Her death was a result of a shot by her founder of her fan club Yolanda Saldivar, the founder of the Selena fan club. Saldivar had been managing Selena's boutique in San Antonio. She was on the brink of being fired for embezzling money. Her legacy still lives on today,
