-
Lil Selena
Selena Gomez was born on July 22, 1992 in Grand Prairie, Texas, USA, in a creative family. Her mother Mandy Gomez was an actress, now she works as a film producer. Since early childhood, Selena Gomez went to auditions and filming, so she did not attend school. She was homeschooled. -
Disney time
In 2007 Gomez moved to Los Angeles, California when she booked the lead role of "Alex Russo" and rose to fame in the Disney Channel series "Wizards of Waverly place". She then starred in "Another Cinderella Story" (2008) on ABC Family, had her first voice-role in the animated film "Horton" (2008), and co-starred with childhood friend, Demi Lovato, in "The Princess Protection Program" (2009). -
Music career
Gomez began building a music career in the late 2000s. Still, she sees herself as an actor first. “Acting has always been my first love,” Gomez told Vanity Fair in 2024.
Soon, Gomez moved on to original music as the lead singer of Selena Gomez the Scene. The pop band released three albums: Kiss Tell (2009), A Year Without Rain (2010), and When the Sun Goes Down (2011). Some of their popular songs included “Love You Like a Love Song,” and “Naturally.” The group split up in 2012. -
