    By age six, kids that are securely attached are more compliant, responsive, cooperative, self-reliant and emphatic than those who were in insecure attachment relationships in infancy. They feel free to explore the world around them and know they can always come back to the safety of their caregiver.

Those identified with secure attachment are at peace with imperfections within themselves or others, value relationships, are forgiving of less than optimal parenting, and can consistently recall their childhood experiences.

    Adults can be in happy committed relationships and both partners will have satisfaction also these relationships are seen to be longer lasting. Two adults committed in a romantic and secure relationship express themselves with close bodily contact, disclosing safely guarded information to one another, and feeling safe when in the company of one another. The relationship a caregiver has with their infant can often predict the type of romantic relationships an adult can make throughout their life.

    Parents who were securely attached as children are more likely to have secure attachment with their children. These parents react more quickly to their child's needs and are typically more responsive to a child they are securely attached to than one of insecure attachment. The relationship a caregiver has with their infant can often predict the type of romantic relationships an adult can make throughout their life.
  • Elderhood (65 years- Death)

    Elders with secure attachment live a healthy and happy life. These elders are either living with their loving partner or are living at a nursing home. These elders have retired and lived through life fairly well. They understand the basic needs in a healthy relationship and can pass down that knowledge down to their grandchildren. They also live their life more fulfilled and have less regrets compared to other elders who lived their whole life with attachment issues.
