    Chinese Canadians had elite commando unit called Force 136. They looks like Chinese because they are also Asian, so they were used to sabotage Japanese war effort by destroying Japanese weapons, bridges and railways.

    Battle of Hong Kong
    Battle of Hong Kong happened almost on the same time of battle of the Pearl Harbour. At first nobody think they will really attacked HongKong and Japan even didn't declare war to HongKong. When wars started. The soilders from Canadian and Britain fighting until the end. They lost about 554 soldiers in the war. Quarter of the Canadian soldier died in the prison camp.

    Japan attacked USA at Pearl Harbor Dec 7 1941. Inexperienced Canadian soldiers were protecting Hong Kong for the British.Canadian troops surrendered to Japanese Dec 25 after 17 days of fighting. Japanese had better weapons(airplanes and battle ships). 290 Canadians died, 500 wounded. 267 Canadians died in Japanese prison camps.

Operation Husky was the beginning attack on Italy and it is the key city to the rome.So it is important .Canada lost a lot of soldiers but used “mouse-holing” technique to capture the city. Mouse-holing is a tactic used in urban warfare, in which soldiers create access to adjoining rooms or buildings by blasting or tunneling through a wall.

    The Battle of Ortona

    Operation Husky was beginning of the attack on Italy. Canadian soldiers were the first to take the island of Sicily. 60 Canadians were killed/ injured, but they captured 650 enemy soldiers. After 1 month Sicily was captured, but 2310 Canadian dead/ wounded.
    Ortona was key city on the way to capturing Rome. Defended by the best German soldiers. Canada lost over 2300 men, but used “mouse-holing” technique to capture the city. Blasted holes in walls of buildings to avoid being shot by Germans.

    Day of Deliverance-Canada’s largest military operation of WW 2.It happened on June.6 1944 .6:30AM.The code name of it is "Operation Overlord". D-day is the beginning of the Normandy landing. it is one of the most important war to World War 2. Normandy landing let the Allies back to the Europe.
    Why choose D-Day at that time because there is a lot of obstruction beside the beach.That day was the best day for landing because at that time was low tide. It can reduce the damage to the boats.

    Liberation of the Netherlands
    In Europe battlefield.Canadian soldiers free the Netherlands from the German troops.It is a long fight last for 8 monthes.Canadians who landed on D-Day, fought battles through France, Belgium, the Scheldt and in Germany before being dispatched back to the Netherlands with the Canadians who had fought in Italy. Because of the Canada's order they push the Germany soldiers back to German. Netherlands cheered after the freeed and many Dutch people painted "Thank you! Canada"
