During the war the Spanish Republic received military support from the Soviet Union while the Nationalists rebels received the German and Italian support what created tension among the European countries. Finally Francisco Franco won the civil war and took the country’s political and military power.

    Japan who was receiving militar support from German decided to start a war with China, the aim of it was to invade the country. Despite the Russian support that was receiving China, Japan won the war. Because of the political differences a lot of conflicts took place in the Soviet-Japan border. These kind of international conflicts lead to a continuous increase of tension among the European and Asian countries.

    POLAND INVASION
    After having some problems in the German-Poland border, the first German attack against the polish army took place in Westerplatte. The UK make an ultimatum to stop the conflict, that would be ignored by the German government and would lead to the declaration of war to Germany coming from France and the UK. Finally, the polish army was defeated the 6th of October.

    In April Denmark and Norway were invaded by the German army. While they were invading these countries Germany attacked for first time to France. The attack was done successfully because the German troop didn’t attacked by crossing the Franco-German border, instead they directed the attack at some neutral countries (Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg). Due to this offensive movement many Allies’ soldiers were injured or even death, furthermore, a lot of British soldiers were moved back to the UK

    THE FALL OF PARIS (FRANCE)
    Germany was continuously attacking France, so the 10th of June the Italian army, that was managed by Mussolini, decided to attack France at the Franco-Italian border in order to help the Germany in the conquest of it. Finally, after all the British army was evacuated, the French army couldn’t face up all the military power coming from Germany and Italy, Paris was totally invaded the 14th of June. After that, the German army would try to attack to the UK by air, however all the attempts’d fail.

    Japan that had already invaded China was planning to expand it territory when it received oil coming from Dutch, at first the intention was to invade the east territory of the Soviet Union but they abandoned the idea after the German troops were defeated in Moscow and retired.

    After not achieving an accord between Germany and the Soviet Union, Hitler decided to try invading it the 18 December 1940 to eliminate possible allies of the British army. At first, the Soviet army was having a defensive attitude what made the axis’s invasion success in the conquest of some territories such as Ukraine. However, when they arrived Moscow they couldn’t face up the Soviet army that was waiting for them because of the exhaustion of crossing all the cold and snowy Soviet territory.
