    popular early search engine lost to Google and was bought by Yahoo! who later discontinued it. Founded by Paul Flaherty, Louis Monier, Michael Burrows and Jeff Black.

    Designed to answer search queries posed as a question. tried to be a regular search engine but in 2010 returned to the question answering roots it had started from Founded by Garret Bruener and David Warthen.

    The monster known as Google was started by Larry Page and Sergey Brin. It is currently a world leader in technology. Google's code of conduct infamously advised "Don't Be Evil". this has led to some criticism of google and it's business practices.

    A malicous form of spyware that afflicted computers at the turn of the century. It was created by Joe and Jay Bonzi. BonziBudd gathered info on the user and used that data to show them ads tailored to the info they had. Search engines and ads become more and more entwined.
