After Odysseus and his men opened the bag of wind they were blown back to circe’s island. Then circe warned Odysseus that they will have to choose the fate of him and his men. He could save his men or sacrifice six. Whether his men make it home is up to him. -

Scylla and Charybdis analysis
After Odysseus returned to Circe island she told them that they would have to choose between Scylla and Charybdis. She told them if they face Scylla she would take a men for each one of her heads. If she face Charybdis she would take down his whole ship. So Odysseus she also told Odysseus that there was none thing to do about it it’s fate. So he chose Scylla and sailed far from Charybdis. And she took six head as prophisced.
