Democritus thinks that there are atoms and void.
Democritus is a Greek scientist who discovered atoms and void. He lived during the 0470. The scientist was noted for the discovery of the atom and void. His theory states that depending on the arrangement, the density varies with less void being denser.

    Thales

    Thales
Thales was born in 600BC, he was born in Miletus of Greek Lonia. Education wasn’t around back then, but for Thales he was a smart and intelligent man, capable of handling the transformation of abstract into concrete concepts such as he’s portrait himself. He contributed to practically all of the evolution of the atomic theory.
  • Antoine Lavoisier's Atomic Theory

    Antoine Lavoisier's Atomic Theory
Antoine Lavoisier is a famous chemist from France. He is well known for weighing chemical experienments and breaking them down. He found out combining oxygen and hydrogen makes water.
  • Dalton and His Atomic Theory

    Dalton and His Atomic Theory
John Dalton is an English scientist. He got most of his work and skill from Antoine Lavoisier. Dalton is famous for the discovery that atoms are indestructible and a combination of atoms is called a molecule.
  • Wilhelm Roentgen 1895

    Wilhelm Roentgen 1895
Wilhem Roentgen was born on March 27, 1845 in Germany. He was a German physicist. While he was using a CRT, he observed nearby chemicals that glowed. Some of the rays weren't deflected by the magnetic field. He is famous for the discovery of rays that enters the reflection of light which then can see through such as humans to expose their bone components to light.
  • J. Plucker

    J. Plucker
J.Plucker was born in German 1801. He is a German mathematician, physicist and a chemist. He discovered electrons rays in 1859.
He built the first Cathode Ray tube. These are used to make X-Rays.
  • Henri Becquerel's Atomic Theory

    Henri Becquerel's Atomic Theory
Antoine Henri Becquerel (15 December 1852 – 25 August 1908) is a French physic and known for the discovery of radioactivity uranium. Becquerel worked with potassium uranyl sulfate, which he exposed to sunlight and placed on photographic plates wrapped in black paper. When it was formed, the plates revealed an image of uranium crystals.
  • J.J Thompson and his theory.

    J.J Thompson and his theory.
Joseph John Thompson was born on the 18th of December, 1856 in Manchester U.K. He is a British physicist. He discovered that there were electrons surrounding the nucleus of the atom. He proposed a model for the structure of the atom. He knew that electrons had a negative charge and thought that matter must have a positive charge. His model was called “raisin bun” because his model looked like raisins stuck on the surface of a pudding/bun.
  • Niels Bohr

    Niels Bohr
Neils Bohr was born on the 7th of October 1885 in Copenhagen, Denmark. He was a Danish physicist, philosopher, and footballer. Bohr was well known for the movement of orbit around the nucleus in the atom.
  • Francis Aston

    Francis Aston
Francis Aston was born in 1877. He was a physicist. Aston became known because he invented the ‘mass spectrograph’ in 1920. He was the first of man to observe the isotopes. His work persuaded Rutherford to continue searching into the neutron.
  • Ernest Rutherford

    Ernest Rutherford
Ernest Rutherford was born in Nelson 1871. He is a New Zealander-English physicist. After Nelson completed his school education, he moved to England . He is best known for creating the names of Alpha, Beta, Charlie of grammar rays. He is also famous for his gold foil experiment.
  • John Douglas Cockcroft and Ernest Thomas Sinton Walton Atom split

John Douglas Cockcroft and Ernest Thomas Sinton Walton Atom split
John Douglas Cockroft was born in 1897 in Britain. He is a physicist and is known for the design of the first particle atom splitting which changed an element to another. John Cockroft and Thomas Sinton Walton won the 1951 Nobel prize in physics, whom worked together to design the atom spitting. This method will lead to the destruction of ww2 by dropping 'two' split in half atomic bombs nicknamed Fat man and Little Boy onto Japn.
  • Ernest Lawrence

    Ernest Lawrence
Ernest Lawrence was born in 1901 in America. He was an American physicist. He is well known for creating what is called to be an ‘atom smasher.’
  • Enrico Fermi

    Enrico Fermi
Enrico Fermi was born in Rome, Italy, on September 29, 1901. He was a professor of physicists and is well known for developing the ‘neutrino’. Also created chain reaction of releasing energy from atoms.
  • Atomic bomb WW2 1945

    Atomic bomb WW2 1945
On the 6th of August 1945 the first atomic bombs were dropped following the end and destruction of Japn in WW2. The U.S. used John Douglas Cockcroft/ Ernest Thomas Sinton Walton's idea of the atom splitting and conducted two seprate nuclear bombs.
