The locomotive was inventid by Richard Trevithick, and british men in the beginning of the 19th century. This invent was very important because it coincided with the industrial revolution so materials can be transported faster. At the biginning they moved by steam -
ANESTHESIA
The first anesthesia was implanted by the doctor Willian Thomas Green Morton in Boston, but the doctor who discoverd anesthesia was Humphry Davy, when he saw that the nitrous oxide inhalation
decreses the pain and could be used during surgery. -
TELEPHONE
It was created by Antonio Meucci because he wanted to conect their office with his house, but we couldn't pattern it because of economic problems so Alexander Graham Bell patents the telephone when he created his own machine, when he discovered that, to move a human sound, is only necessary a continious current. He created a new invent able to transmit human sound with quality and stamp. -
PASTEURIZATION METHOD
This method was created by Louis Pasteur, and it is used to destroy microorganisms harmful in edible products. It was scientific progress because it improved the quality of life by allowing products such as milk to be transported without spoiling. -
PHONOGRAPH
The phonograph was a device used to play recorded sound. It was the first apparatus able to record sound and reproduce it later. It was created by Thomas Edison in 1870 but he patented it the 12 August 1877. -
COCA-COLA
It was invented by Dr. John Pemberton to found a cure for headaches and stress. In its beginning it combined lime, cinnamon, coca leaves and brazilian bush seeds. -
PLANE
Clément Ader was the creator of the steam plane, andhe called his first plane Éole. He could take off the plane but he couldn't control it. The plane flew 50 metres before crashing. -
CINEMATOGRAPH
It was created by Louis y Auguste Lumière brothers to recorded flims. Before this invent, others such us chronphotographs and kinetoscopes were used to reproduce films but they were lousy, so when the cinematograph cames to light,revolutionized the film industry. One curious fact is that te first film recorded in this device was La Sortie de l’Usine Lumière à Lyon which durate 38 seconds. -
X-RAYS
X-rays were discoverd by the german physicist Wilhelm Conrad Röntgen while he was experimenting with the Hittorff-Crookes tubes and the Ruhmkorff coil to investigate the violet fluorescence produced by cathode rays. It was an important event because it allow to capture bone structures. -
ASPIRIN
In 1897, Felix Hoffmann, when he was working with another substance, discovered one of the better substances to relieve headaches, the acetylsalicylic acid in a chemically pure and stable form. This susbtance proved to have analgesic, antipyretic and anti-inflammatory effects, so in 1899 Bayer Company launched it on the market under the name of Aspirin.
