Democritus
According to Democritus' atomic theory, the universe and all matter obey the following principles: Everything is composed of “atoms” -
Dalton Model
-Matter consists of indivisible atoms
-atoms arrange in different combinations to make different compounds -
Thompson Model
Thompson discovered that all atoms have electrons -
Rutherford Model
ernest rutherford discovered that atoms not only had electrons but also a nucleus and he also came to the conclusion that atoms are just empty space and the positive electrons were concentrated to the nucleus -
Bohr Model
bohr also believed believed that there was a nucleus but he thought that the electrons did just float about inside an tom but orbit around the nucleus like planets around a sun in circular orbits -
Schrodinger Model
Schrodinger showed that electrons weren't orbiting around the nucleus but buzzing around like hyperactive flies sketching out different shapes and unlike bohr who called the circular path of the electrons orbit schrodinger called the buzzing orbital
