INDIGENOUS CHILDREN INDUCTED INTO RESIDENTIAL SCHOOLING
In order to "Americanize" Indigenous children, these children were taken for their home and placed into Residential Schools. Here, they were stripped of their culture, abused, starved and taught only the ways of the white man. Most of these schools were said to be filthy and the teachers/administrators only cared to get rid of the "Indian problem" -
