2 male students shot up their high school, killing many of their fellow students soon before shooting themselves. There was also a discovery of bombs that were part of the massacre plan. This event has been the inspiration for many young people. -

Adam Lanza, a 20 year old man, killls 20 children and 6 members that were in Sandy Hook Elementry School, before shooting himself in the head. The fact that it wasn'r a student that attended the school that did the shooting shows that school shootings aren't limited to only young people, grown people can have the same tendencies. -
John LaDue Guilty of Planning a School Shooting
Planned to be on the same time and date of the Columbine shootings, John LaDue planned, but didn't succeed in a huge school shooting, where he planned to take out over 40 people. This outcome of this event was extremely important, as he walked away only one charge. At this time, the school shooting rate was way up. -

OC Campus puts up bullet proof protection systems, and special equipment, with other schools following in their lead. This proves the recognition of the issue at hand and that steps are being taken to fix it. -
Maryland Shooting at Basketball Game
2 peopke were injured when a shooting took place during a basketball game in Maryland. The injuries were not life threatening, but this incident shows the audacity of people to still make these attempts (and possibly succeed) when systems are in place to ensure protection.
