    The battle of Bunker Hill happened because the British were going to take control of the hill because it would give them control over Boston harbor. But the 1,200 colonial troops were stealthy waiting for the British on the hills even with that the British became aware of their location in the peninsula making them retreat to Bunker Hill but it was no use and the British won the battle. But they were severely hurt from the battle more British troops died than the colonials.
