A indoor stadium that the Jews were taken to, 4 Thousand children. They were there for days, in inhuman conditions. Sarah being 1 of those 4 thousand. -
Baeune-la-Rolande
Sarah and her parents were sent to a camp called Beaune-la-Rolande. From there, her parents were shipped on cattle trains to Auschwitz to be gassed. -
Escape
Sarah escaped the camp with a little girl, Rachel, one officer tried to stop her but ended up letting her leave due to her brother and the key as proof -
Farmer
Sarah and Rachel meet a farmer and his wife that help them. Rachel gets sick and eventually is taken away from the Nazis. -
Micheal
The farmer takes Sarah back to Paris to save her brother. when she arrives, there is a new family living in the apartment. She runs to the cupboard and unlocks it. She finds little Micheal in the dead. -
William
When Sarah turned 20 she moved to America to forget her past. She married and had a child named William, Sarah did not tell him she was a Jew or that she had a brother. -
Julia Jarmond
An American journalist that is moving into Sarah's childhood apartment in Paris. She has a new task to write about the Vel' d'Hiv, she comes across a bunch of clues that traces back to Sarah. -
Julia's Father-in-law
Julia's finds a photo of Sarah as a little child, and later on makes a connection that she is living her old apartment. Sarah's father-in-law tells Julia that he was the little boy in the apartment when Sarah finds his brother dead. He was living there and felt so bad for her. -
Meeting for the First Time
When William and Julia meet for the first time, it ends badly. William didn't know that Sarah was Jew or about her past. -
Julia's Peronal Life
Julia is married to Bartrand, and is pregnant. She wants to keep the baby, Bratrand wants an abortion. Julia decides to keep the baby and for that gets a divorce with Bartrand. -
Meeting for the Second Time
When they mett again, William brought a envelope with a key and a journal in it. Julia read the journal and found out that Sarah killed herself(drove into a tree). Also, William wondered what Julia's new daughter's name was. Her name was Sarah.
