Virginia slave act 2
Willful killing of a slave exacted a fine of 700 pounds, and "passion" killing 350 pounds. -
Virginia slave act 4
A fine of $100 and six months in prison were imposed for employing any black or slave as a clerk, for selling or giving alcoholic beverages to slaves, and for teaching a slave to read and write. -
13th amendment
This amendment abolished all slavery, this put an end to all the suffering. -

This amendment gave women the right to vote. This was a huge step in getting women's rights. -

Took out a "poll tax" or a tax that was needed to be paid in order to vote -
26th amendment
Set the national voting age at 18. This set the boundaries once and for all for who was considered an adult.
