Before the trials
The English and then French started a war with each-other and people chose to and go to Salem. The displaced created a strain of Salem's resources. There was conflict between the families of agriculture and the wealth port families. Salem ended up getting their first minister and that's when the problems began. -
the problem
Began between 1692 and 1693, more than 200 people were accused of witch craft. Many were sent to prison some were hung and one was crushed. Back then witchcraft was considered devils magic is what the minister said. Many of the people ended u dead there were women, man, and children. -
The Mistake
The people of Salem ended up saying this whole witch craft and trails was all a mistake. Many people who lost their friends, daughters, sons, mothers. and fathers were angry. The people came to the familes who lost someone compensated the familes. -
Sarah Good and Giles Corey
There were two interesting stories the names were one was a women named Sarah Good. Sarah Good her famous words:"You are a liar! I am no more a witch than you are a wizard, and if you take away my life God will give you blood to drink.” She cursed a man named Nicholas Noyes and 25 years later he died and choked on his own blood. A ma named Giles Corey was crushed and killed by the sheriff and cursed every Salem sheriff ever since all sheriffs of Salem died in weird ways. -
Dorcas Good
Dorcas Good, was only a child during this time and she was killed and she confessed to be a witch. She told that her mother gave her and snake and let her suck the blood. When they were questioning her she ended up confessing. It was told that she wanted to be with her mother but little did she know that her mother was going to die and so was she.
