    • In ancient times, Saudi Arabia had *SEMETIC tribes. They spoke the semeice language of aramaic and practiced *POLYEISTIC beliefs. The three Semetic tribes were *BANU NADIR, *BANU QAINUQA, and *BANU QURAYZA. Muhammad brought *ISLAM to the Semetic tribes. It helped refocus tribal loyalties to a *MONOTHEISTIC (single god) religious place. Saudi Arabia’s known language is *ARAMAIC. Saudi citizens are also known as Aramaeans.

    In the 600s, the Africans settled in Saudi Arabia by the Arab Slave Trade, and this impacted the ethnicities, language and religion. About 9.85 million Africans were shipped out as slaves to Arabia. Most slaves were women because the Europeans would treat women slaves as concubines living in harems, rarely as wives, so their children became free, which changed Saudi Arabia's ethnicity. Afro-Asians speak mainly Semitic and Egyptian, so they had to learn the main language spoken in Arabia, Arabic.

    In 1744, Ottoman took Muhammad’s place as ruler of Saudi Arabia that impacted the religion. Before Ottoman took place as empire, Saudi Arabia had multiple *SEMETIC languages, such as Judaism, Christianity and Iranian. When Ottoman took over Muhammad’s place as the ruler of Saudi Arabia he bought Islam to Saudi. He also allowed people to follow other religions however, they had to pay tax. Ottoman also mistreated Arabs by depriving them of their freedom and power for four centuries.

Islam exposed the idea of learning other nation's languages so people could communicate with each other. English became a target language because of American forces in the area. Learning the language helped people communicate with the US army too.

Both Arabic and English are the official and main languages in Saudi Arabia.The official religion in Saudi Arabia is *ISLAM, but roughly 90% Saudi citezins are *SUNNI MUSLIMS and 10% of Saudi citizens are *SHI”A MUSLIMS. Both Arabic and English are the official and main languages in Saudi Arabia.
