Katie had been saving her money and finally had a little left over for her to do some shopping. After returning from the store, she makes plans with Jo for the upcoming weekend. Saturday there was a huge storm brewing and katie walked down to Alex's store. After buying all of her groceries the rain had started to come down. Alex drove katie home. That night when Jo came over Katie revealed some of her past. When the rain stopped and Jo had returned home Alex had left Katie a bike. -

Back in Boston, Kevin has been lying to all of his co-workers and he knows that they gossip about him. He hates it but he keeps his anger in. He is always thinking of Erin. -

Kevin has an affair with a random girl from a bar. He starts freaking out and thinks Erin will never return to him. Katie gets her drivers license in July. Alex starts talking to the kids about Katie to make sure that they like her. Josh asks about his mom. Alex then pulls out the two letter that Carly had given him before she had passed. Kevin gets suspended from his job. Alex brings up the carnival and also asks Katie where she is at with marriage. the two of them get into a fight. -

Kevin gets lucky and figures out the name Erin started using. He tracked the license to Southport, North Carolina. In southport a huge storm took place. Katie can't sleep well after the fight and she tried to blame it on the storm. Jo ends up giving her some advice.Kevin was on his way to come collect Erin. Alex and Katie make up. -

Kevin arrives and heads to the adress he collected. Erin is not home but he is able to get inside her cottage. There he takes a nap. Alex Katie, and the kids all ride their bikes to the carnival where they ride many rides. When Kevin wakes up he goes to Ivan's and then the carnival. At the carnival he spies Erin. He is furious because she is with another man. He follows her, the man, and the kids but ends up losing them. -

Kevin finds the four bikes And he starts to buy two gallons of gas. Katie takes care of the kids while Alex goes to help a friend. The kids and Katie all fall asleep. Once it is late enough Kevin starts to through gas all over the house and he starts a fire. At that point Katie wakes up and rushes to the kids. Theu had to get out of the house. hurry. He returned to Katies cottage because he knew she would have to return. That is where Alex had dropped the kids off. Alex and Katie rush back there. Kevin strikes alex in the head and katie gets enough strenght to finally end all of the pain. -

Katie gets checked out at the hospital but everything is okay. She waits for Alex. His head was hit pretty bad and the doctors said it was pretty serious. Once Katie is able to finally see him and he is realeased they talk about the damage done to the house. Alex then gives Katie the letter. When Katie reads the letter she discovers that Jo is Alex's late wife and was not truly there. She then relized where her place is, with her family.
