Three thousand solgeirs of Russia marched into senate square. Senate square in St. Petersburg was renamed to decembrist square because they marched into senate square in the month of december. They were stopped and then there leaders were exiled. -
The Russo-Japanese War
The Russo-Japanese war was the first major war of the 20th centery. Russia created a port for their Navy on the Pacific Ocean near Japan. they called it Port Author. Japan's Navy attacked the Russian Navy at Port Author. They solved this war with a treaty called Treaty of Portsmouth, the United States President Theodore Roosevlet looked over the treaty. -
Bloody Sunday
It happend in Saint Petersburg, Russia. The Father Georgy Gapon were fired upon by the soliders of the Imperial Guard as they marched towards the Winter Palace. This is considered to be the cause of the revolution on 1905. They wanted to present a petition to Czar Nicholas 2 -

The March Revolution
Workers in the cities with large factory demanded a 50 percent wadge increase so they could buy food. They refused so all the workers went on strike. 30,000 workers were out of a job. They persuaded the other workers to strike along with them. Nicholas then wanted the people striking to be killed and the soliders then revolted and joined the strikers. The government did not want a czar so Nicholas 2 was forced to give up his throne. -
Russian Civil War Begins
The main fighting was between 3 groups: the Red Army, the White Army, and the Green Army. The Red Army won this war because they were the most organized and held the most territory. The Red Army then established the Soviet Union in 1922. The Red army was also known as the Bolshevics. -
Nicolus II abdicated the Russian throne
Nicholas made people very mad because he kept entering into wars that they could not win. In one of the wars thatthey entered the men fighting did not have enough supplies. They were told that they should pick up the guns off of there dead comrades. -

Vladamir Lenin Dies
Stalin became dictator from 1929 to 1953. He was feared by many. MIllions of his own citizens died under his rule. He had his enimes excuted or put people in labor camps. Some people were even exiled. Stalin started the Cold War with the United States and Great Britian. -
Nicholas 2 Became Czar of Russia
Nicholas inherited the throne when his father Alexander 3 who died in 1894. Enemies nicknamed him Nicholas the bloody. Under his rule, Russia was humiliatingly defeated in the Russo-Japanese War, which saw almost total annihilation of the Russian Baltic Fleet at the Battle of Tsushima.
