200,000 workers and family members marched to the czar winter palace asking for better working conditions. Soldiers opened fire on the croud and killed hunderds of people and injured thousands more. -

NIcholas II decided to drag Russia into WWI. They were completley unprepaired and suffered major cassualties. -

200,000 woman swarmed the streets in riots. Soldiers first oppossed them but later joined their side. -

Factory workers called Bolshevik Red Gaurds. They took government offices and arrrested officials. -
TREATY OF BREST-LITOVSK
Russia and Germany signed the treaty of Brest-Litovsk. In the treaty Russia surrendered a large amount of its territory to Germany and its allies. -
CIVAL WAR IN RUSSIA
A civil war breaks out against two groups. The White Army which consists of multiple smaller groups which are against the Bolshevik radicals. -
ECONOMIC POLICY SET ASIDE
Lenin temporarily set aside for a state controlled economy. Government took control of major industries. -

U.S.S.R. is born in honor of the Bolshevik revolution. Stalin becomes dictator.
