  • Women protest in the street

    On the 23rd of february it was international Womens day, and the women of petrograd decided to protest over the lack of food and money that the people of petrograd were recieving, the women managed to rally up 100,000 women.

  • The protesters increase

    People hear about the protest going on in petrograd and the protesters are growing larger and eventually tsar Nicholas II hears of this. The protesters objective change from recieving food and money to protesting against the current Tsar.
  • The Tsar demands prostests to stop

    The tsar decides that the protests are getting out of control and decides to permit the use of the army and what ever means neccesary to stop the protests in petrograd.Around 50 people are killed.
  • Mutiny

    The cossacks are ordered to go to the streets again, but decide they would be better off to mutiny against their officers and then join the protesters on the streets supporting the revoloution.
  • Kronstad sailors

    The sailors meet on their ship and gather around to decide what to do about what is going on in petrograd, and they decide to rebel against their officers and start a revoloution in kronstad
  • Tsar Abdicates

    In Pskov,a small town north west of russia encouraged by his ministers and generals, the Tsar abdicates because he sees that the protests will over throw him anyway.
  • Rejection

    The tsars brother, Michael Romanov rejects the throne after the abidication, because of the the risks at the time that he may be assisnated or killed. Two parties now operate and controll Russia liberal Provisional Government and the socialist Soviet.
  • Joseph Stalin

    Joseph Stalin is released, and heads to petrograd, Stalin supports both the Provinisional goverment and the soviets. Stalin was a political prisoner, and is a bolshevik.
  • Lenin

    Lenin returns to Russia, lenin supports the bolsheviks and there movements in the goverment.
  • The thesis is read

    Lenin reads his speach he wrote while on the train back to petrograd, which states basically that there will be peace in russia, food and that war will stay calm.
  • Formation of a mixed goverment

    The two goverments join together to form a half socialist goverment, after the soviets agree to merge. Alexander kerensky is made minister of and war.
  • PG launches attack on Germany

    The provisional Goverment order an attack on Germany, which resulted in 400,000 deaths of russians, the goverment based the attack thinking that it would improve morale if they had a win.
  • Trotsky

    Leon trotsky decides to merge with the bolsheviks,and then later becomes a leader within the bolsheviks.
  • July days

    The july days were an important time during the Russian Revoloution, these days were when the Russian worked and soldiers went about the streets of petrograd protesting, some bolsheviks had also joined into the protests, the protest resulted in the arrest of some high ranking bolsheviks.
  • PG makes a move

    The provisional Goverment hires agents and orders them to arrest any bolshevik, they arrest all except lenin.
  • Lavr Kornilov

    Lavr Kornilov attempts to restore the goverment to a strong one, and get rid of the socialists, although this movement fails, and the general is denounced because of his actions.
  • Counter revoloution

    The provisional Goverment forms a unit called the "red army", which is their to get rid of or defend anyone that attempts to start another revoloution,

    The bolshevik leaders are released from prison.
  • Democratic Conference

    All the political parties meet in one place and discuss how they are going to end the crisis. Except the bolsheviks walk out of the conference.
  • Trostsky

    Trostsky was elected the chairmen of the petrograd soviets, because the bolsheviks had gained respect across the petrograd and mscow soviets.
  • MRC

    The Military Revolutionary Committee are formed, which are based on the red army, the commitee's aim is to defend petrograd by arming workers and organizing soldiers, the bolsheviks created the committee and control the committee

    There is an article published which basically is stating that the bolsheviks are planning an uprising against the Provesional goverment.

    The petrograd soilders support the MRC, and now the MRC now control the Red Guards, the Petrograd Garrison and the Baltic naval navy which is nothing control to overthrow the provisional goverment.
